I spent my childhood like any other- playing with LEGOS and drawing. Isn’t that what everyone does? I developed a huge LEGO addiciton and a pretty good drawing hand. That continued through highschool, where I was voted most artistic. Chessy, I know.
From there I had two choices -
I chose the second option. I applied to Kutztown University in 2001 after graduation and was accepted into their selective Communication Design program. Kutztown University is known here on the East Coast for their intense and thorough Graphics program. Some of the best designers go through Kutztown. Just ask Jason Santa Maria.
I graduated in 2005 with a concentration in Graphics and Web and was quickly hired at Sposto Interactive. I spent 3 years there working on jobs from clients like -
I left there in 2008 with hopes of doing more work for other clients. I went to the Tribune owned Morning Call - mcall.com. There I did banner advertising for clients like -
I left there in 2009 and began freelancing for Lehigh Valley’s 4O1! Creative. They do amazing work and have really helped me grow as a designer. Thus far I’ve done work for clients like -
And that’s pretty much where I am currently. I hope on growing my freelance client base over the course of the next few months. Oh, and I still have a LEGO problem. And now it’s fueled by my adult-like salary. Scary.
